Melissa Hickson, Director & Founder of Prime Residential Property Management explains what to look out for when you are looking at your routine inspection reports and to ensure that you check the ceiling for any leaks

Melissa here at Prime Residential. So, just here doing another routine inspection and wanted to give you guys another quick tip on what to look out for when you’re checking your routine inspection reports from your property managers. So make sure that your property managers are looking at things like hairline cracks in the ceiling and any roof leaks. So I’m actually here at a property and I can see that there is actually a bit of water that’s coming down from the ceiling, and it’s actually affected some of our plaster on our apartment roof. So this needs to be reported to the Owner’s Corporation, because it’s an apartment and they need to have a look at that and action it. So it’s really important that you and your property manager and also your tenants are looking for things that could potentially cause long-term damage to your investment property. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions as I would love to help. Have a great day and enjoy the sun. Bye!
